LDAP Settings Module

Overview

The LDAP Settings Module is responsible for managing the integration of corporate directory services (Lightweight Directory Access Protocol) within the DataFloem platform.

This module enables users to log into the platform using their corporate account credentials. Instead of forcing administrators to manually create each user record, connecting an external LDAP/Active Directory server centralizes user authentication and automates group-based authorization processes.

Access Requirements

This page is available only to users with Administrator privileges.

Only administrators can view and manage SSO Provider configurations. Non-administrator users cannot access this page.

Users without administrator privileges will receive the following authorization error:

How the LDAP Connection and User Import Process Works

LDAP Management

This page displays a comprehensive list of all configured LDAP server connections within the system.

From this interface, users can perform the following actions:

  • View all defined external directory connections, including their server addresses (Host/Port) and operational states.
  • Initialize a new LDAP integration by clicking the Add LDAP button in the top-right corner.
  • Update existing LDAP integration configurations or validate server handshakes.
  • Modify or inspect deeper integration settings using the row action menu (...) at the end of each record.

LDAP Connection Attributes

Each row in the main repository table contains the following metadata fields:

Field Description
Name The unique identifier assigned to the directory connection.
Description Contextual information outlining the purpose of the connection or its target server.
Host The IP address or Fully Qualified Domain Name (FQDN) of the external LDAP server.
Port The network port utilized to communicate with the LDAP server (e.g., standard 389 or secure LDAPS 636).
Create Date The exact timestamp denoting when the configuration was first deployed.
Update Date The timestamp indicating when the integration parameters were last modified.
Status Indicates whether the integration is currently Active or passive within the system.
