Log Settings
Overview
The Log Settings page allows administrators to configure how logging is performed throughout the DataFloem platform.
From this page, administrators can choose which system modules generate logs and define how long those logs are retained before they are automatically removed.
These settings help organizations balance auditing requirements, troubleshooting capabilities, storage usage, and system performance.
Access Requirements
This page is available only to users with Administrator privileges.
Only administrators can view and manage SSO Provider configurations. Non-administrator users cannot access this page.
Users without administrator privileges will receive the following authorization error:
Access Denied
You don't have access to this resource.
Configuring Log Settings
This page allows administrators to:
- Enable or disable logging for individual system modules.
- Configure the log retention period.
- Control which module activities are recorded.
- Apply a consistent logging policy across the platform.
Changes made on this page affect newly generated log entries.

Log Retention
The retention period determines how long log records remain available in the system.
Administrators can configure a retention period between 0 and 730 days depending on organizational policies and storage requirements.
Logs older than the configured retention period may be automatically removed from the system.
Notes
- Logging can be configured independently for each supported module.
- Only enabled modules generate new log entries.
- Changes to logging settings affect future log records and do not modify existing logs.
- Choosing a longer retention period increases the amount of stored log data.
