Add Cloud Storage Panel
Overview
The Add Cloud Storage panel serves as the initial provider selection gateway for integrating external cloud storage infrastructures (such as Azure Blob Storage or Google Cloud Storage) into the DataFloem platform.
This screen requires users to select their target cloud vendor before proceeding. Depending on the selection, the panel will dynamically render vendor-specific authentication schemas and bucket parameters (e.g., Connection Strings for Azure, or Service Account JSON keys for Google) in the subsequent step.
Access Requirements
To access this page, the user must either have Administrator privileges or the CREATE permission for the Target module.
The CREATE permission allows users to create new groups. Users without administrator privileges or the required permission cannot access this page.
If you do not have the required permission, ask your administrator to grant it from one of the authorization pages below.
Authorization
Users without the required authorization will receive the following error:
Access Denied
You don't have access to this resource.
Prerequisites
Before selecting a provider and advancing, ensure that:
- You have an active storage account provisioned within your chosen cloud console (Azure Portal or Google Cloud Console).
- You have compiled the necessary authorization tokens, keys, or credential files required for the upcoming setup layout.
Interface Elements and Options
The interface features a guiding prompt alongside two primary vendor selection action blocks:
| Option | Description |
|---|---|
| Azure | Select this option to initialize the integration workflow for Microsoft Azure Blob Storage frameworks. |
| Select this option to initialize the integration workflow for Google Cloud Storage (GCS) environments. |
Workflow Execution Steps
- Click the Add Cloud Storage action button on your source/target asset dashboard to trigger the side panel.
- Select the cloud vendor aligning with your data infrastructure (Azure or Google).
- Upon clicking a provider, the system will dynamically route you to the core configuration form to capture connection strings, specific bucket definitions, and operational pathways.
-
To abort the selection wizard entirely, tap the close (
X) icon located in the upper-right corner of the panel.
