Groups Module
Overview
The Groups Module is responsible for managing user groups within the system.
Groups simplify permission management by allowing administrators to assign permissions to multiple users simultaneously. Instead of configuring permissions individually for each user, administrators can assign users to groups and manage permissions at the group level.
Within the system, groups can assume general or administrative (Admin) roles. Permissions assigned to a group are automatically inherited by
all users belonging to that specific group.
Group Management
This page displays a comprehensive list of all defined user groups within the system.
From this interface, users can perform the following actions:
- View all user groups along with their current status, description, and creation dates.
- Search, filter, and sort the group repository using the centralized search bars.
- Create new user groups via the slide-out panel ("Add Group") on the right.
-
Inspect details, manage members, or delete existing groups using the row
action menu (
...). - Monitor whether a group is active or passive across the platform.
Group Attributes
Simply edit the group, uncheck the box next to the user's name in the list, and click Save. They will instantly lose the permissions associated with this group.

Key Considerations
- Users can be assigned to multiple groups simultaneously.
- A user's total effective permission set is the cumulative union of all permissions granted across their assigned groups.
-
Row actions (
...) should be utilized to modify permission boundaries or fine-tune user access mapping post-creation.
