Logs
The Logs panel shows the most recent run of the flow open on the canvas. It is used to follow a run step by step and to find the node behind a failed step.
When the flow has not run yet, the panel shows No logs found.
Execution Details
The Execution Details section at the top summarizes the run:
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Execution Type | The type of the execution. |
| Execution Id | The unique identifier of the execution. |
| Cluster Id | The cluster the flow ran on. |
Command Results
Command Results lists what each step of the run reported, in the order it was reported. New results appear while the run is still going.
Each result shows:
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Message | What the step reported. |
| Status | Success, Failed or Running, with the duration once it is long enough. |
| Failure | Why the step failed, shown in red under the message. |
| Stack Trace | The error's stack trace; folded until opened. |
| Payload | The data the step reported; folded until opened. |
| Step | The name of the node that ran the step. |
| Attempt | Which attempt of the step this is, when the step was retried. |
| Start / Time | When the step started and exactly how long it took. |
Finding a Step on the Canvas
Results and nodes are linked both ways:
- Clicking a step name in a result selects that node on the canvas and moves the canvas to it.
- Results of the nodes selected on the canvas are highlighted, so the log of one node can be picked out of the whole run.
Steps that are not nodes on the canvas (e.g. the start of the run) are shown by their id.
Previous Flow Logs
The Previous Flow Logs button in the panel header opens the job's Logs page, filtered to this flow's runs. Earlier runs and their details can be inspected there.
