Assign Cluster

Overview

The Assign Cluster page allows users to assign pre-registered global execution clusters to the current Project scope.

While global clusters are configured centrally in the platform's Cluster Module, they must be explicitly assigned to a Project before they can be utilized as execution engines within that Project's Jobs, Code Flows, or SQL Queries.

This page displays all available global worker clusters that are eligible to be linked to the current project scope.

Access Requirements

To access this page and assign clusters to a project, the user must have write or management permissions for the target Project.

If you do not have the required permissions, ask your project administrator to grant access to project resource and cluster assignment.

Managing Assign Cluster Page

From this page you can:

  • View all globally available Clusters that can be assigned to the project.
  • Search for specific clusters using the search bar (Filter...).
  • Filter the cluster list and switch between list and grid views.
  • Assign a global cluster to the project using the + Assign button on the respective row.
  • Monitor real-time execution status (Running or Idle) prior to assignment.
  • Exit without making changes by clicking the Cancel button or the back arrow (←).

Cluster Information Table

The table displays the following fields for each available global Cluster:

Column Description
Name Displays the unique name of the global Cluster (e.g., Cluster1).
Mode Execution architecture mode of the cluster (Dynamic or Static).
Update Date Timestamp indicating when the global cluster configuration was last modified.
Status System availability status of the global Cluster (e.g., Active).
Running Real-time operational state and active uptime (e.g., Idle or Running 22h 4m 10s).
Actions Clickable + Assign button to immediately link the selected cluster to the current Project.

Key Features & Actions

Assigning a Cluster

Clicking the + Assign button on any row immediately links that global Cluster to the current Project. Once assigned, the cluster will appear in the main Project Clusters tab with a granted access status (Granted).

Filter & View Toggles

  • Search Bar (Filter...): Quickly search clusters by name or execution mode.
  • Filter Button: Apply advanced criteria to filter the available cluster list.
  • View Toggles: Switch between table/list view and card/grid view based on preference.

Cancel / Back Navigation

Clicking Cancel or the top-left back arrow (←) returns you to the Project Clusters main page without taking further assignment actions.

Notes

  • Assigning a cluster links an existing global execution environment to the project; it does not instantiate a new cluster.
  • Ensure that assigned clusters have an operational Status of Active to prevent execution failures in project pipeline flows.
  • Clusters can be unassigned from the project at any time from the main Project Clusters page.
