Project Clusters
Overview
The Project Clusters section is used to manage execution clusters (execution environments) assigned to a specific Project within the DataFloem platform.
While the global Cluster Module registers and configures worker clusters across the platform, those clusters must first be assigned to a Project before they can execute Jobs, Code Flows, or SQL Queries within that specific Project.
When a new Project is created, its Cluster list is empty. Users with appropriate permissions can assign required pre-registered clusters to the project scope or unassign existing ones as needed.
Access Requirements
To access and manage this page, the user must have the required management permissions for the specific Project and its associated Clusters.
Users without the required permission cannot view this page and will
receive an authorization error. Users with access can monitor their
permission level via the Access Status indicator (Granted) for each assigned cluster.
Managing Project Clusters
This page displays all Clusters currently assigned to the Project, with options to toggle between List and Grid/Card views.
From this page you can:
-
View all assigned Clusters, their operating modes (
DynamicorStatic), and real-time execution states. - Search and filter the assigned Cluster list.
- Toggle between list and grid views for optimal layout visibility.
- Assign existing global Clusters to the project using the Assign Cluster button.
-
Remove (unassign) Clusters from the project scope using the action menu
(
...). - Monitor real-time cluster execution status (Running / Idle) and continuous uptime.
Cluster Information
Each assigned Cluster displays the following information:
| Column / Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Access Status |
Indicates whether the project has been successfully granted access
to use this cluster (e.g., Granted).
|
| Name |
Unique display name of the cluster (e.g.,
Cluster1).
|
| Mode | Operating mode of the cluster: Dynamic or Static. |
| Running |
Real-time operational state and active uptime duration (e.g.,
Running 3h 5m 35s or
Idle).
|
| Update Date | Date and time when the cluster assignment or configuration details were last updated. |
| Status |
Operational system status of the Cluster (e.g.,
Active).
|

perform project-level actions such as Unassign.

Key Features & Actions
Assign Cluster
Clicking the Assign Cluster button opens the cluster assignment interface where you can select and link pre-configured global Clusters to the current project.
Unassigning a Cluster
Selecting Unassign from the action menu (...) removes the Cluster from the current project scope. This action does
not delete or terminate the global Cluster configuration; it only revokes
its availability for the current project.
Notes
- Assigning a cluster to a project links an existing global cluster configuration to the project scope; it does not spawn a new cluster instance.
- Unassigning a cluster only removes it from the current Project's scope. It remains available in the global Cluster Module for other projects.
-
Ensure that assigned clusters have an operational
Status of
Activeto prevent execution failures in project workflows.
