Namespace Module

Overview

The Namespace Module is the entry point for organizing resources within the DataFloem platform.

A Namespace represents the highest level in the system hierarchy and serves as the root workspace where resources are organized. Every Folder, Project, Job, and Code Flow belongs to a Namespace.

The resource hierarchy is organized as follows:

Namespace
└── Folder
    └── Project
        ├── Job
        └── Code Flow

Namespaces provide logical isolation between different environments, teams, departments, or customers. Each Namespace maintains its own resources, permissions, and organizational structure.

When DataFloem is installed for the first time, a default Namespace named dev is automatically created and configured as the system's default Namespace.

Only one Namespace can be configured as the default at any given time.
